Kurt Geiger was a name unknown to me until Meghan Markle stepped out in a pair of his boots earlier this year. Like many, I rushed to the site in hopes of snagging a pair of the boots she wore, and they were sold out in minutes. As a self proclaimed shoe addict, that didn't matter much as there were so many other pairs that caught my eye. I've become a regular customer since then and can't sing the praises of this brand enough. Not doubt about it, I'm hooked!!
The pair pictured in the upper left is one of my favorites that I wear in regular rotation. Kurt Geiger offers impeccable customer service and the unique details--not to mention the comfort- keeps me coming back for more. Here are some others I've got my eyes on. Have a look!
Just a few hours from now and the beautiful Meghan Markle will become England's newest Princess. The media has been in a frenzy ever since the happy couple made their romance public and for so many understandable reasons. Every article and patchwork documentary has focused on all of the obvious talking points 1) American 2) Divorcee 3) Bi-Racial. Yes, all of these are rather new for the monarchy until now, but unfortunately, I think everyone's missing the bigger, more beautiful picture--LOVE.
I'm not talking about the cheesy Hollywood version. I personally don't believe that any writer could have written this fairy-tale with the greatest of imagination. This love my friends is ordained and gifted. Although I believe you shouldn't marry at all if you're not marrying the person you believe to be your soul-mate, history has shown us that really doesn't happen very often. People marry for all types of reason--money, protocol, age--but rare the occasion in today's world do you see love that is so palpable, you feel the emotion through your television screen.
As an American woman from a multi-ethnic family myself, I understand the historical significance of this union on a personal level. Little girls that may never have thought it really possible to ever see a reflection of themselves will now look at castles and carriages through new eyes. For the first time in a century, they can genuinely believe the fairy-tale of becoming an actual princess. That alone speaks volumes in so many ways, not just in the U.S. and the U.K. , but globally. The fact that the British monarchy has become more relatable, diverse and modern is beautiful. In a relatively short span of time this new generation has single-handedly resuscitated the monarchy and the impact they will collectively have on this global family of one is mind-blowing.
Nonetheless, what excites me most is the notion that true, unfiltered, pure of heart love still exists. This love story captivates the heart like no other because of everything it is, and everything it isn't. It is indubitable, and pure, transcending race, heritage, politics and everything in between--and if that doesn't make you believe in fairy-tales, I don't know what will.
I send my prayers and love to the happy couple. Wishing you all of God's grace, favor and mercy as they begin their new journey. Blessings and love. --Angel ;0

There is nothing I enjoy about flying as all of you know by now, but standing in line like cattle being herded is my least favorite part of the process. Hurry and wait is the motto, not to mention delays, cancellations and the open concept hotel i.e. lobby. I've always said I'd joyfully pay more if only I could have some privacy and not have to deal with the crowd, after all that's what vacations are for--to spoil yourself. By all accounts, it looks as though my travel prayers have been answered thanks in part to "The Private Suite".
The Private Suite is a new terminal at LAX offering the sweetest gift there is in travel--privacy. Rather than fighting with an agent over your preferred seat, busting through traffic to arrive hours ahead of take off only to stand in line for days, and find yourself totally stressed before that presentation or "vacation"--the Private Suite swaddles you like a newborn, in the comfort of a BMW sedan from door to door. Upon arrival, you are then escorted to one of 11 private suites, fully equipped with a bathroom) stocked with Kiehl's products) chairs, sofas, snacks and any toiletries you just may have forgotten to pack. Travel fit for a queen.
If ever I had a travel fantasy, this is it. I'm sure you're wondering can you even afford such a flight. Well, that I don't know--but it is far less expensive than chartering a plane for sure. I'd say with proper planning and budgeting, this type of experience is absolutely doable. According to what I've researched, you can purchase a membership or opt to fly as needed( as I would do). The packages w/out membership run about $2,500 per flight for up to 3 guests domestic travel and a bit higher if traveling international.
If you want to taste luxury--literally, head over to https://theprivatesuite.com for more details. ;0
Four days and counting...the royal wedding frenzy is at a feverish peak and I'm all in!!! I've been doing my best to catch any and every minute detail..the dress, food, seating arrangements--and this last tidbit caught my attention. It has been reported by multiple sources that after ceremony reception, I'm assuming this is the more "formal" of the many, will be standing room only. Allegedly, the reception will be almost a meet and greet type of affair, complete with "bowl foods"( I think we call these Tapas in the states) and cake.
Given that many of the guests invited are deeply involved in community services and other charitable organizations, I suppose this makes sense--a way to connect and truly engage with your guests on a more personal level. In a way, it does have that princess, tea party, garden soiree type of vibe I suppose--and of course leaves no room for squabbling over seating arrangements. Nonetheless, as I prep for my seat in front of the TV, here are a few of my personal favorite "bowl foods", a few of which I will be enjoying on Saturday. Enjoy ;0
I am so over the moon excited about the upcoming royal wedding you would think I was actually invited. I can't imagine what on earth happened to my invite, but I couldn't help but wonder-what gift would I give to a future royal? From all that we've seen, it seems Ms. Markle likes to blend her cool and casual California girl vibe with chic and elegant pieces, be that her wardrobe or her home. Anyway, I took a few moments on the Horchow ( www.horchow.com) and Nordstrom (www.nordstrom.com) websites to select a few items I think any bride wouldn't mind receiving--even a Princess- to -Be.
